Tactical EMS Personnel (TEMS) The Emergency Response Team (ERT) is a multi-jurisdictional team composed of members within Sauk County Law Enforcement and EMS. The team consists of a Team Commander, Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Snipers and Entry/Containment personnel. The team may face: high-risk situations such as, barricaded person and persons using threats, weapons and/or hostages to avoid contact with law enforcement. The team also is called on to serve high-risk warrants and crowd control situations. The Emergency Response Team is supported by a Hostage Negotiator Team (CIN) and Tactical EMS (TEMS) personnel. Drug Overdose Response Team
A multidisciplinary team that responds quickly to survivors of an overdose to help them find services on their path to recovery within 24-72 hours after the initial overdose. The Sauk County Team serves the survivor and family to overcome their addiction. In Sauk County, if you are seen by EMS for anything substance use-related-- drinking too much or an accidental or intentional overdose, for example-- you can opt to receive a follow-up visit from a the Response Team which is a collaboration between Public Health Sauk County, WisHope, and local EMS agencies. Response Teams are composed of EMS and a WisHope Peer Recovery Coach. The Teams make in-home or in-facility visit attempts to streamline a connection to substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction, and other needed services. |
