Inter-Facility Transfers

Reedsburg Ambulance offers inter-facility transports up to the Critical Care Paramedic Level, locally out of Sauk County only.  

​The transfer needs to be medically necessary and be a physician-prescribed transfer.

911 coverage takes priority over any transfer, even if already accepted by a crew. Reedsburg EMS might not be able to accept any transfers at any given time.

Types of transfers that Reedsburg Ambulance accepts:

• Hospice transfers within the local area
• Hospital to Hospital Basic Life Support Transfers
• Hospital to Hospital Advanced Life Support Transfers
• Hospital to Hospital Critical Care Transfers
• Only medically necessary transfers and the transfer is prescribed by the transferring physician
