Free Community AED Loaner Program
The City of Reedsburg Ambulance is excited to roll out a new AED Loaner Program to help make our community even safer. This program allows individuals or organizations to borrow an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) from our station at 230 Railroad Street for any public or private event. Whether it’s a local ball game, church picnic, wedding, or community gathering, having an AED on-site could save a life.
It’s an easy process—just fill out a quick form online, pick up the AED from the station, and return it when you’re done. There’s no charge to use the program. Our goal is to make it easier for people to be prepared in case of a cardiac emergency. We know that early defibrillation can make a huge difference in survival rates, and this is one more way we can help support the people we serve.
“When someone goes into cardiac arrest, every minute matters,” said Josh Kowalke, Director of the City of Reedsburg Ambulance. “We wanted to give the community a simple way to access an AED when they’re hosting an event. Hopefully it never gets used—but if it does, it could save someone’s life.”
